This course provides essential information on the link between Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and oral cancers, emphasizing the importance of HPV vaccination in preventing these cancers. Designed for dental professionals, it covers the role of dentists and dental hygienists in promoting HPV vaccination, addressing patient concerns, and integrating HPV education into routine dental care. Participants will learn how to effectively communicate the benefits of HPV vaccination, understand HPV-related health risks, and enhance overall patient care through prevention strategies.
Module Structure
This course is self-paced and available to any user who registers with the Maine Medical Association, Center for Quality Improvement Learning Lab. The module will consist of multiple sub-sections or units and will contain various elements, including video lessons and hyperlinks to readings and web resources.
